SCORE Nature Coast, FL consists of 25 volunteers with varying backgrounds from small business owners to corporate. We are eager to provide FREE Menoring to businesses in Citrus and Levy Counties in Florida.

SCORE Nature Coast, FL is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to mentoring small business owners and anyone who wants to start a new business. Our mission Statement is “Foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education.” Our vision is “Every person has the support necessary to thrive as a small business owner.”
Whether you are trying to start a small business, expand an existing small business, or buy/sell an on-going small business, we can provide free face to face mentoring and counseling regarding the many issues and challenges our clients face. Most often, we assist in the development of business plans for locally owned small businesses. As a Chapter of SCORE we can also draw instantly upon our nationwide pool of over 11,500 mentors for specialized help.

Women's History Month
The SCORE Women who serve Citrus and Levy Counties are proudly celebrating Women’s History Month and bringing unique diversity to the chapter with their backgrounds and experience. Kim has an MBA and spent 35 years with 3M as a trained chemist with specialties in operational excellence and strategic planning, and two years in Vietnam focused on 3M’s international business development. She is also a certified six sigma black belt. In her spare time, she helped start up a restaurant for a nonprofit Christian child care center and was on its board of directors.
Katherine has been a SCORE volunteer in Citrus county for over 5 years mentoring clients in our small business community. Katherine also coordinated the SCORE workshop program offering over 40 local workshops attended by over 300 individuals interested in starting a business or refining an existing one. Katherine is currently co-chair of our Citrus County Chapter.
Tara has been a Certified Mentor for SCORE for the past year and a half since relocating from Atlanta and is the current Chapter Co-Vice Chair. She brings 15 years of Project Management, Leadership Development and Operations Improvement experience working for companies such as Comcast in senior leadership roles.
Jacque, a former Citrus County SCORE Mentor, recently rejoined the organization after retiring in 2018. Armed with an MBA and multi-industry experience, she is dedicated to helping local businesses succeed by providing human resource management and operations guidance.
Bunny moved to Citrus County 16 years ago from Beverly, Mass. after retiring from 35 years in Restaurant Management. She has been a SCORE volunteer for the past 6 years and has helped write a training manual for servers as well as assisted SCORE with a Hospitality Seminar. She serves as the Vice President of Luncheons for Citrus Newcomers, is a member of their Executive Board and serves as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee.

Women-owned businesses employ nearly 9 million people and generate more than $1.6 trillion in revenues. SCORE's mentors, comprised of active and retired business men and women, provide clients with free and confidential business counseling. Counseling can be conducted at the client's place of business, at our chapter headquarters, by telephone or via email.
SCORE mentors and representatives from the local business community conduct a variety of regularly scheduled, low-cost educational workshops that provide valuable information and techniques necessary for establishing and managing a successful business.
With access to a wide variety of documents, templates and tools to assist you in starting or growing your business, the information provided here covers a wide range of subjects including initial business planning, capital sources, government agencies, and much more.
